Brecol con Nueces y Pasas (Broccoli with walnuts and raisins) Catalonia serves 4
1/4 cup olive oil 3 cloves garlic, peeled and mashed 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped walnuts 1/4 cup raisins, blanched and drained 1 bunch broccoli, trimmed and cut into florets 1/4 cup (2 oz) dry white wine salt to taste freshly ground pepper
In a large skillet heat the oil and saute the garlic, onion , walnuts, and raisins until onion is soft. Add the broccoli, wine, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well, cover and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes or until the broccoli is tender. Remove to a serving platter.
